On the Job Training with JA Job Shadow
Guilford County – More than 150 students from Guilford County high schools will participate this fall in the JA Job Shadow Program through a generous $14,000 grant from the AT&T Foundation. Students spend the school day at AT&T’s North Greensboro campus learning about careers first-hand. JA Job Shadow gives students at “day at the office” experience by pairing students with members of the business community.
JA in the SCALE School
Greensboro -- Junior Achievement instructors taught three classes in the spring at the SCALE School, Guilford County Schools’ alternative program for long-term suspended or expelled students in middle and high school grades in Greensboro.

2010 Business Leaders Hall of Fame
Congratulations to our 2010 Hall of Fame Laureate, Roy Carroll, developer of Center Pointe in downtown Greensboro and founder of the “Building an End to Diabetes” program. We also celebrate our Spirit of Entrepreneur recipient, William Mangum, published watercolor artist, gallery owner, and philanthropist. The Hall of Fame induction celebration will be held at Greensboro Country Club on October 28th from 6:00 to 8:30 pm.
